Welcome to Tails Up Dog Grooming Ltd., a Leaside original since 1983. We’ve been scrubbing, fluffing, trimming, and pampering local pets for over 40 years — and yes, we’re still obsessed with every wag, woof, and whisker that walks through our door.

We’re a small but mighty team that believes grooming should feel more like a treat than a chore. From tiny terriers to chunky tabbies, we’ve seen it all — and we love them all. Our approach? Skilled hands, kind hearts, and a whole lot of belly rubs (when allowed, of course).
We also stock a handpicked collection of quality pet essentials — think stylish collars, sturdy leashes, healthy food, and toys that actually last longer than 10 minutes.

Hi, I’m Bonnie
With over 48 years of grooming experience (yes, really!), I’ve seen just about every kind of wag, woof, and wiggle—and I still love every minute of it. Grooming runs in the family for me—my mom passed down both the scissors and the passion, and I’ve proudly carried on the tradition ever since. I opened Tails Up more than four decades ago inside the Leaside Animal Clinic, and it’s been my happy place ever since. Over the years, we’ve become a neighborhood staple, known for treating pets like family and sending them home looking their best (and maybe a little extra spoiled). You’ll usually find me surrounded by my own trio of four-legged helpers: Harper and Violet, my two boxers with big hearts and bigger personalities, and Roxie the Boston terrier, who’s basically the store’s unofficial mascot. They love greeting everyone who walks through the door—and they fully expect belly rubs in return. At Tails Up, we believe in great grooms, happy pets, and plenty of treats along the way.

Hey there! I’m Christina
I’m a pet groomer with a big heart—especially for the underdogs (and undercats... and under-snakes?). I share my life with Angus, my rescued cat who rules the roost, and Pascal, my equally rescued python who’s basically a scaly spaghetti noodle with attitude. I’ve been on a mission to make pets look and feel their best, and I take that mission very seriously (but with plenty of treats and tail wags along the way). Whether it’s a shaggy pup or a nervous kitty, I’m all about helping animals feel safe, loved, and fabulous. You can usually find me at Tails Up turning fluff into fabulous—or trying to convince Angus and Pascal to get along. (Spoiler: it's not going great, but we're working on it.)

Hi! I’m Claire
I joined the team in May 2024, and I’ve been living the dream ever since—pets, fluff, and wagging tails? Yes, please. I’m the front desk expert, which means I’m the friendly face you’ll see when you walk in, and the one who knows exactly whose fur is currently flying in the back (don’t worry, it’s all under control). I absolutely love animals—I have a cat named Artemis who thinks she’s royalty, and a dog named Daphne who’s basically my shadow and full-time cuddle buddy. When I’m not here, I’m off being a student (books before bones), but I always count down the days until I’m back at the shop. Come say hi! I’ll probably be the one giving your pup a treat... and maybe asking if I can pet them.
